Terrell Foster-James is a Chelsea, Massachusetts–raised, Brooklyn-based vocalist, performer, and musical theatre artist. A Berklee College of Music graduate on full scholarship through Berklee City Music, he has performed internationally at luxury private events, Off-Broadway productions, and regional theatre tours. Terrell has toured and performed in countries including Canada, Mexico, Jordan, and China, where he co-led and taught a Master Class. He has appeared on television and film projects including NBC’s Manifest, ABC’s Good Morning America, and LIVE with Kelly and Mark, as well as provided background vocals for Gavin Rossdale of BUSH. His stage credits include the first national tour of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. An Aretha Franklin Tribute Concert, and roles in productions such as The Wiz, Something Rotten, RENT, Aida, and The Color Purple.

At Sound Collective, Terrell brings over 13 years of teaching experience in voice, performance, and musical theatre. He focuses on developing students’ technique, stage presence, and expressive abilities while fostering creativity and confidence. Terrell emphasizes practical performance skills and individualized instruction, helping students expand across genres from classical and jazz to pop and musical theatre. Students leave his classes with strengthened vocal control, professional performance readiness, and the tools to grow as versatile, expressive musicians.
