The live ensemble is a space for musicians and vocalists to come together, rehearse weekly, and perform live as a group. It's designed to give students real, ongoing experiences playing music with others in a structured but low-pressure environment.

Open to all members at no additional cost, the ensemble meets every Wednesday and is led by a professional band leader. Each quarter focuses on a different genre, giving members the chance to explore new styles, collaborate with others, and build real ensemble experience.

This is not a traditional class. There are no assignments, grades, or formal skill requirements. The ensemble moves at a competent pace, so members with more experience will get the most out of it, while newer players are encouraged to jump in and learn by doing.

Each quarter culminates in a live performance, either at Sound Collective or at select venues around the city, giving members the opportunity to play for a real audience in a real setting.
