Hosted by legendary drummer Haze Amaze, this high-octane event is the culmination of a global auditions featuring jaw-dropping technique, powerful grooves, and next-level creativity.

Four finalists will be selected on May 6th to compete in person at Sound Collective

The finalists will face off in a multi-round battle judged by an all-star panel:

  • Haze Amaze
  • Jason Gianni
  • Jeremy Wexler

The in-person rounds include:

  • BPM Challenge: Judges pick the tempo, and the drummer must ride the groove.
  • Solo Round: A 3-minute showcase of style, chops, and musicality.
  • Final Showdown: Trading 8s — Two kits, one track, no mercy.

Haze Amaze has shared stages with some of the industry’s most renowned artists, including NAS, Fantasia, and Leela James. Whether performing at legendary venues like Madison Square Garden or headlining global events, Haze captivates audiences with his talent and charisma.

Jason Gianni has drummed for countless television and radio commercials, he is most known for being the drummer for the theme song for the popular cartoon, ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ He is the co-author of the popular drum book entitled ‘The Drummers Bible‘ and is the featured drummer on the 2008 Hudson Music DVD called ‘Set Up, Tune and Play Your Drums.’

Jeremy Wexler is a seasoned percussionist, composer, and educator with over 30 years of experience in drumming and a deep academic foundation in music composition. Jeremy’s drumming expertise spans drumset, orchestral, contemporary classical, and marching percussion. He currently serves as the Percussion Product Specialist at D’Addario, representing Evans Drumheads, ProMark Sticks & Mallets, and Sensory Percussion.
