Recording Basics is a free, hands-on workshop built for independent artists and producers who want to understand how to capture their own music properly. Hosted in Sound Collective's New York City recording studio, this two-hour session puts you in a real studio environment and walks you through the fundamentals of recording yourself, how to set up a session, get your signal right, and actually commit something to tape. You'll work hands-on with professional equipment alongside experienced instructors, and leave with a clear sense of what it takes to record your own work at a professional level. Whether you've been making music at home or have never stepped inside a studio, the Recording Basics workshop is the right place to start.
