The Sound Collective Youth Music Production Bootcamp is an immersive, hands-on program for students in grades 8–12. Using Logic Pro, students learn real production skills — building beats, writing melodies, designing sounds, arranging tracks, and mixing finished music.
No experience needed. No theory required. Show up with ideas, leave with a track. Week 1 is a complete standalone program. Week 2 takes it further.
- Confident navigation of Logic Pro's interface, tracks area, and mixer
- Flex Time audio editing, warping, and region manipulation
- MIDI and drum programming using Drum Machine Designer and Step Sequencer
- Fundamentals of synthesis, sampling, and sound design with Alchemy, Retro Synth, and Quick Sampler
- Music theory for producers: keys, chords, progressions, and basslines built directly in the Piano Roll
- Track arrangement, automation, and transitions from loop to full song structure
- Mixing essentials including EQ, compression, panning, and gain staging
- Recording and processing vocals with Flex Pitch, comping, and effects
- Workflow techniques using track stacks, sends, routing, and custom templates
- Best practices for exporting, releasing, and presenting finished music
- Logic Pro workflow and interface
