Hosted in Sound Collective's New York City studios, you'll learn how producers lay down beats, structure a loop, and start turning an idea into something that actually sounds like a track. Whether you've never opened a DAW or have been curious about music production for years, the Production Basics workshop gives you a real first experience making music from scratch.How This Workshop Works

Sound Collective features a full suite of professional spaces, including a dedicated recording studio, modern production labs, a PA-equipped performance space, and a fully outfitted DJ studio. Every room is stocked with industry-standard gear, modern hardware & software, and flexible setups for classes, practice, and collaboration.
Throughout your studies, use these spaces as your daily workspace, producing in the labs, recording in the tracking rooms, mixing on the SSL console, and rehearsing sets in the DJ studio.
