Stephen Kurpis

Stephen Kurpis is a veteran of the Manhattan large facility recording scene who has recorded animation voice-over for Nickelodeon and Bento Box, audiobooks for Simon & Schuster and USA Today Best-Selling Authors, Virtual Reality projects for The NY Times, performed sound system design for BandsInTown, and live-streamed events for The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. As a music engineer, he’s been a part of countless sessions for jazz, classical, hip-hop, folk, rock, and Broadway cast recordings; highlights being for Philip Glass, Spin Media, Audiomack, and featured artists of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. He’s spent time as an educator and studio manager while growing the studio; ensuring an organized, thoughtful, and comprehensive approach. He’s designed the studio, and its services, to embrace the future of audio production in an increasingly fluid & dynamic creative environment without the sacrifice of quality; priding himself on its supportive, responsive & collaborative approach that facilitates confident & prompt decision making early on in the production process.
