Meet the Instructor
Peter Matson
Peter Matson is a Brooklyn, NY based musician, producer, and DJ.
As founder and leader of the seminal NYC post-punk afro band Underground System he’s toured internationally and produced their records on Soul Clap, Hell Yeah, Planet e, with recent releases on Razor-n-Tape and Heavenly Sweetness. His most recent solo dance releases and remixes are finding their home on Brooklyn based label Bastard Jazz, Razor-N-Tape as well as Heist Recordings, and as a performer and DJ he has seen it all: from The Apollo Theatre to Central Park NYC Summerstage, from Nightmoves and Public Records in BK, to loft parties of Mexico City, to Eurockeenes de Belfort, Fusion Festival in Germany, or headlining Laurent Garnier’s ‘Festival Yeah!’ In Lourmarin, France.

Master classes given at various colleges and universities internationally and extensive history of being involved with education organizations
