Esquire

DJ Esquire is a Brooklyn-born DJ with more than twenty years of experience spanning radio, club residencies, international competitions, and large-scale live events. A 2× DMC USA Champion and nominee for Turntablist of the Year at the 2014 Global Spin Awards, he has represented the United States on major global stages — finishing top 5 at the 2013 DMC World DJ Finals in London, top 4 at the 2012 DMC World Finals, and 6th at the 2012 IDA World Finals in Poland. Esquire is endorsed by Reloop DJ and Ortofon and has shared the stage with Jay-Z, Coldplay, Run-DMC, Kanye West, Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Tiësto, alongside an extensive career performing for brands such as MTV, HBO, Maxim, Saks, Macy’s, and more.

At Sound Collective, Esquire draws on fifteen years of teaching and decades of competitive and performance experience to help students build strong technical fundamentals, musicality, and stage-ready confidence. His classes emphasize turntablism technique, precision, and creative expression, giving students a clear path from foundational skills to advanced routines and performance-level mastery.
